Malawi Satemwa Estate
Passion for coffee since 1971, Satemwa Estate is a third-generation family-owned estate in the Shire Highlands of Malawi. Currently, the plantation covers an area of approximately 45 hectares, and a small portion is dedicated to a new botanical variety, Geisha, which will bear its fruits in the upcoming season.
Satemwa Estate is managed by Alexander and his mother Dawn. Alex oversees most aspects of estate management, including occasional financial oversight, although he prefers to delegate to his mother Dawn.

More Info
When the harvest season arrives, Alexander is the first to conduct an inspection, spending every day checking each individual plant and cherry. Achieving optimal cherry ripeness is one of Alex's secrets. During that period, at the beginning of the harvest, he may take long walks through the plantation and return to the processing station with just a handful of cherries.
Once all the ripe cherries are collected, the processing begins, and a further meticulous hand selection takes place.
