Panama Geisha Dona Elvira
Agricola Geisha is a family-owned farm that produces truly spectacular coffee. Located amidst the mountains of Boquete, it overlooks the Baru volcano in Alto Jaramillo at an elevation of 1,800 - 2,100 meters above sea level.
It all started almost as a hobby when Gonzalo, after retiring, decided to cultivate coffee plants in order to later harvest the fruits and enjoy a special cup of coffee with his wife. What began as a shared pastime with his wife evolved into a journey of exploration into the world of unique and rare coffees. Gonzalo and Yrma Palenzuela fell in love with this quality and soon found themselves the proud owners of dozens of acres of fertile land on which to grow one of the most coveted coffees in the world.
Today, Agricola Geisha is home to one of the most award-winning coffees in the world.

When Yrma and Gonzalo participated in their first "Best of Panama" competition, they needed to give a name to their coffee. On that day, Yrma remembered an old photo of her mother-in-law, Doña Elvira, while she was tasting the coffee produced by Gonzalo. They immediately decided to name it in her honor, and thus it became Panama Geisha Doña Elvira.
