Uganda is one of the leading coffee-producing countries in Africa and has a long tradition in coffee cultivation. Ugandan coffee is appreciated for its variety and quality, offering a wide range of flavor profiles.
The coffee varieties grown in Uganda include Arabica and Robusta. Arabica is grown at higher altitudes, usually above 1,200 meters above sea level, and produces coffee with a more complex flavor profile, delicate acidity, and notes of fruit and flowers. Robusta, grown at lower altitudes, is known for its full body and earthy flavor.
